This TRX4M Bronco build focuses on realistic scale weathering inspired by full-size expedition vehicles. The goal was to achieve a textured bronze finish with controlled dust layering and subtle trail wear while maintaining clean detailing and performance.

Build Concept & Inspiration

The weathered finish draws inspiration from full-scale expedition builds featuring textured bronze bodywork and natural dust layering. Rather than heavy mud coverage, the focus was controlled edge wear, subtle tonal variation, and realistic trail aging.

Base Platform

This build starts with the Traxxas TRX4M Ford Bronco 1/18 scale platform. The micro crawler features a capable 4WD drivetrain, portal axles for increased ground clearance, and a compact chassis designed for controlled trail articulation and technical crawling.

Wheels & Tires

The build currently retains the stock TRX4M Bronco tires and wheels, which provide balanced traction for light trail use and maintain correct scale proportions. The factory setup complements the expedition-inspired weathered finish while preserving predictable crawling behavior.
